A Four-Part Personal Coaching Series
What to expect:
- A trained mental health professional will meet with you to get to know who you are and to discuss your current strengths and struggles
- You will answer a series of questions based on our healing model: Blafemme Healing. This is a wellness model that is holistic, meaning it explores your emotional, physical, work/academic-related, financial, spiritual, environmental, and other aspects of your wellness.
- After your initial meeting, you will participate in two additional sessions where you can work together to (a) identify barriers to your wellness, (b) uncover pathways that can support your wellness, and (c) practice the strategies that might help you experience more wellness.
- Your fourth and final meeting will focus on developing a healing plan to carry you through the next three to six months.
About Our Current Coach:
Keonna Knight is the Blafemme Healing Coach for 2022-2023. Check out her bio below:
Hey there! My name is Keonna Knight and I am a Liberation Coach, Wellness Educator and Counseling Intern at Blafemme. I am the daughter of Cynthia Knight, granddaughter of Doris Knight and a descendant of courageous, creative and gifted African and Indigenous folk. As a Black, Queer, Multi-Dimensional Human, I hold space for clients and community members to: (1) BE SEEN, validated and lovingly challenged, (2) gently UNRAVEL and address past and present pains, (3) DREAM and explore practical strategies and healing tools, and (4) TAKE ACTION that aligns their lives with their values, needs and deepest desires.
My counseling approach, which integrates narrative therapy, solution-focused strategies, mindfulness and ancestral healing modalities, centers Black Womxn and marginalized people taking their power back. I help clients living with depression, anxiety and/or low self-worth access their inner compass, confidence and courage to live out their most fulfilled, liberated lives.
When I am not in a counseling session or holding space for our community, I am investing in my personal healing and liberation. This currently looks like skateboarding, letting myself be seen and supported by loved ones and shaking my ass to Beyoncé’s Thique after a full day of work.
